Admissions Events and Timeline
DECEMBER
PREVIEW NIGHT
Preview Night introduces prospective students in 6th-8th
grades and their families to our campus and the faculty and students of Sacred Heart-Griffin High School. Tour the school, speak with students, teachers and administrators and learn about all that SHG has to offer including our academic, extracurricular and sports programs.
JANUARY
8th GRADE PLACEMENT TEST
Eighth-grade students seeking admissions into SHG must take the placement test, which helps determine students' placement into the freshmen-level class options. The test typically takes place on a Saturday in early January at our east campus.
FEBRUARY
NEW STUDENT PARENT MEETING
At this meeting, students are given the results of their placement test. They will also have the opportunity to meet with our guidance department individually to review test scores and freshman class placement. Families will receive an application packet to be completed for admission to SHG.
MARCH
EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION DEADLINE - MARCH 1st
Families who turn in their completed enrollment packet and their completed course selection will be entered into a drawing for a $2,000 tuition credit. One $2,000 tuition credit will be awarded per grade.
PRIORITY REGISTRATION DEADLINE - MARCH 15th
All families are STRONGLY encouraged to complete their enrollment packet and course selection by March 15th. Class sizes may be limited with some elective courses. Enrollment in these courses is based on the date the online course selection is submitted.
FACTS GRANT AND AID APPLICATION DUE
Families applying for Student Investment Funds through the FACTS Grant and Aid application should submit their application by MARCH 15th. If the March 15th deadline has passed, please contact Ashley Pennell at pennell@maison-de-fanfan.com for further assistance.
ONGOING
Admission applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until enrollment is full.
Transfer Students
Sacred Heart-Griffin High School accepts a limited number of transfer students each year. In order to apply for transfer admission, a student must be in good standing at his/her current school with a minimum GPA of 2.0.
Before a transfer student may begin the enrollment process, the student and parent/guardian must interview with the SHG principal. Students must provide the most recent transcript when meeting with the principal. If accepted, the student will meet with a member of the guidance staff to proceed with the registration process.
